Meet our New Clinical Pilates Instructor and Movement Specialist

Updated: Oct 1, 2021

We are delighted to be welcoming a new member of the team to the practice: Rebecca Faith Wield will be joining us as an Associate at the beginning of October.

Rebecca is a Clinical Pilates Instructor and Movement Specialist with 17 years’ experience teaching Clinical Pilates in London at The Garuda Studio, The Centre for Health and Human Performance in Harley Street, The Light Centre, St Pancras Hospital, Cirque du Soleil and Triyoga. She is a mat and equipment-qualified Pilates Foundation teacher, with a specialist certificate in Pre/Post Natal Pilates. She has a particular interest in the effects of stress on our mind-body and has trained in Somatic Stress Release™ with Dr Scott Lyons in New York.

Rebecca has a rich and varied background in movement; originally trained in classical ballet, she is a graduate of The Royal Ballet School, where she was Head Girl and received the Royal Ballet Award for Excellence, and danced with English National Ballet. She is also an actor, teaching Laban based movement for actors, and is trained in Stage Combat, improv and contemporary dance. Rebecca is currently doing an MA in Movement Direction at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

We are really excited to bring Rebecca on board, and know that she will make a great addition to our team. Here at Guy Gold’s we place a particular emphasis on listening closely to our patients, and treating individuals as a whole, and we feel that Rebecca’s style of coaching will fit perfectly with our own ethos.

Rebecca has refined a holistic coaching approach that can be adapted to the individual’s needs each session, but also uses a precise observational assessment of alignment and neuro-muscular holding patterns, that over time can be released and replaced with healthier movement patterns for long term recovery, confidence and resilience. Rebecca is dedicated to working with the clinical team to support specific rehabilitation goals with functional and creative movement. Her goal is to empower each person with awareness and tools to grow a stronger relationship with their unique and brilliant bodies.

We’re incredibly proud of the wonderful, hard-working and passionate team we have here at Guy Gold’s, and we’re looking forward to enriching our offering here at the clinic and Performance Centre with Rebecca’s expertise and experience.

Clinical Pilates and Movement Coaching sessions with Rebecca are available to book via our Booking page.
